Ignorance Is Bliss

Once we have become aware of a certain problem in society, we are morally responsible for dealing with that issue. The society can not just ignore that certain problem; something needs to be done about it. In some cases people feel as if a problem in the society isn’t affecting them in any way, so that makes them care less. In a lot of cases many people just don’t know how to help. There are many people out there that are faced with problems or have heard of someone else’s problem but aren’t sure how to help them so they don’t do anything about it or try to help that problem out. For example in the story “Eli’’ the police officers probably abused Eli and the doctor knew about that, but if we put ourselves in the doctor’s position who would we tell that problem to? Would we make a complaint to the cops about the cops who abused Eli? Sometimes we’re put into a weird situation and don’t know what to do. Even if we are put into these situations I think that we should try our level best to do anything to help solve that problem out. After a problem that we haven’t done anything about a lot of people feel guilty for not helping or trying to help. In any case people should try as hard as they can to help solve a certain problem or even help someone that needs help. Tell someone about it if your not sure what to do.
